Full Color Printing with CMYK Inks

Most of the vinyl we use is white adhesive-backed vinyl, designed for photo-quality full-color printing. We print using CMYK inks, including light cyan, light magenta, and light black, which allow for smoother gradients, vibrant colors, and a broader color spectrum than standard ink systems.

We also stock or can order solid-color vinyl in many shades, but full-color printing allows for more flexibility, detailed imagery, and custom designs without layering multiple vinyls.

Artwork Requirements for Wide Format Printing

For best print quality and precision, we prefer vector artwork for most vinyl-based projects.

Acceptable Vector File Types:

• CorelDRAW (.cdr)
• Adobe Illustrator (.ai)
• Scalable Vector Graphics (.svg)
• Encapsulated PostScript (.eps)
• PDF files (vector-based only)

Important: Photoshop-generated EPS files are not true vectors and are not acceptable for cut or weeded vinyl work.

Raster/Photographic Prints:

If your design is a photograph or raster-based image, please provide a high-resolution file at the exact print size. We recommend 300 dpi for best results. Low-resolution images pulled from social media (72 dpi) will appear pixelated when enlarged.

Need help? We offer in-house graphic design services and can convert raster images to vector art for a small fee.
