Laser Cutting & Engraving
What is Laser Cutting & Engraving?
Laser cutting and engraving (also known as laser etching or laser marking) is a precision process that uses a concentrated beam of light to permanently cut, mark, or engrave materials. These methods can be used separately or together to create detailed, high-quality designs on a wide variety of surfaces.
Perfect for custom signs, personalized gifts, product branding, and more, laser technology offers clean, accurate, and long-lasting results.
Artwork & File Requirements
Our laser equipment supports many file types, but for best results, follow these guidelines:
Laser Cutting
- Requires vector files with hairline outlines
- Acceptable formats:
.ai
,.svg
,.eps
,.cdr
, and some.pdf
- Lines thicker than a hairline will not cut properly
Laser Etching / Engraving
- Works with raster images and vector files
- Recommended raster formats:
.jpg
,.png
,.bmp
,.psd
,.gif
(300 dpi preferred) - Vector formats:
.ai
,.eps
,.svg
,.cdr
, and some.pdf
- Avoid using hairline outlines in engraving files unless a cut is intended
Combination Cutting and Engraving
You can combine cutting and engraving in the same file. For example, engrave a photo and cut it out with a hairline outline for a complete, custom finish.

Product Care
Apparel
Laser-etched designs work best on fleece and dark denim. Follow normal washing instructions. Over time, denim may slightly re-dye the etched area, which is a natural effect.
Glassware
Most laser-etched glassware is dishwasher-safe. However, always refer to the product manufacturer’s care guidelines.
All Other Items
Please follow care instructions provided by the product manufacturer to ensure the best results and longevity.
